Somethings that have been bothering me

I'm not saying these things to stir the pot or get on the bad side of anyone but it's been somethings bothering me lately.

Just a few nights ago a guy was killed in the "bad side" of town. He was shot standing in front of a corners store at 1:30am in the morning. Now the location of the shooting comes as no surprise to me considering that there are guys standing outside of it all times of the day and night. Which is clearly flashing their resume as a street pharmacist. What bothers me about it is the statement that the story owner gave to the local paper. He had to the nerve to say," Why did it happen outside my store?" WHAT !!! I understand his dream of opening a successful business but what I don't understand is why do people like him open these type of stores in poverty stricken communities. As if they don't understand that they are part of the problem. I think it bothers me so much because there are great number of these stores in my hometown and near my home neighborhood. They sale underage children liquor and tobacco products. They have openly displayed drug paraphernalia for sale. But then they question when things like this happen. When you have people standing outside your store all night and those people go up to cars who pull on your location. Just to enter the car and quickly exit. Its not because they giving directions. What also bothers me about is that most of these store owners are practicers of Islam. They say they are about love peace and happiness. But Mr. Store Owner where do you see happiness in death and destruction. They won't sell alcohol or drug paraphernalia in their own communities but they will go to someone elses and sell it to their children.

I can't put the blame on a store owner though. The communities themselves need to have a "cleansing". Whatever happen to the Leadership they once had. When I say leadership I don't mean some talking head on tv who jumps up everyrtime race is inserted into a situation. I don't some talking head waiting for a little money and tv time to further his own agendas. I mean the local leaders who help young fatherless children. Who show them the way. Who would tell young males know that education is the key to the future. The leadership needs to come back to poor areas of communities. There are too many young males who think they can drop out of school and become a pro athlete, rapper or if all else fails a drug dealer. Everyone can't be Micheal Jordan or Lebron James. You need education to fall back on when those hoop dreams fade away. Everyone can't be a platinum selling rapper. Most of them don't and have never lived the life they portray in their songs. stop listening to them and listen to your parents and find good role models. A rapper can't save your soul. A drug dealer is only a minion of satan. He sells death to your mother, your sister and any other family member you have. But he wont sell it to his own. His god is the almighty dollar and to get those dollars he doesn't care who has to get hurt in order for him to touch those dead presidents.

to be cont...
